DESCRIPTION: Elgin Watch Co., Elgin, Illinois, 12 size, 17 jewels, stem wind and set, damascened, nickel plate movement with cut bimetallic balance and micrometric regulator in a striking 14 karat, three color gold, engine turned, engraved, hunting case with foliate ornament, and Arabic numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #23101839, 71.6g TW, c1920.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor dents, band, 11:00, 1:00; A few marks inside back from pushing out dents, invisible from outside of case; Cuvette with minor scratches; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, very light, seconds bit. HANDS: Minor oxide, minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Scratches due to screwdriver slip emanating from screw slot, barrel bridge; Bright work with scattered, minor oxidation. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
